1Password has just been updated to version 4.5 for iOS and 4.3 for Mac. The iPhone and iPad app now has a whole new design for iOS 7 along with some awesome new features including multiple vault support, unified autofill, AirDrop support, sharing, and more. A lot of the new features are available in the Mac app as well. Better yet, AgileBits is still offering 50% off both versions for a limited time!
Aside from a design overhaul, the iOS version of 1Password also brings with it a lot of significant updates including an overhaul of 1Browser, the native browser inside of 1Password. New features include a much better autofill system, some awesome swipe gestures, a redesigned tab interface, and lots more. Some sections of 1Password have also been refined to help you sort and organize better. The Folders section is now replaced with an Organize section because tags can now be added to items that will sync across both 1Password for iOS and Mac.
1Password for Mac and Windows has let you create multiple vaults for a while now and today that feature comes to iOS too. You can now toggle between your different vaults within the Settings panel of 1Password for iOS. Beyond that, if you've got multiple Dropbox accounts, you can link up vaults that are dispersed over multiple accounts.
That scratches the surface of what's new in 1Password for both iOS and Mac. You can check out all the changes and grab them for half off via the links below. If you grab the update, let me know what you think in the comments!
Whoa. It's happened. Laser-Zeppelin has met its match. The crazy creative folks at Urbanscreen have transformed the cavernous interior of the Gasometer in Oberhausen, Germany, into a wild light show that looks all kinds of trippy. So long, Stairway.
Got a Samsung Galaxy device? You're in for a treat: Amazon is building a custom Kindle store for you and your device—and it comes with perks.
History buffs might not know this already but it seems as if this week—April 14th to April 20th—might be the worst week in American history. Things like President Lincoln being assassinated, the Bay of Pigs invasion, the Columbine shooting, the Virginia Tech school shooting, the Oklahoma City bombing, the Boston Marathon bombing, etc. all happened during this week in history.
Being a superhero is the best job in the world. Not only do you save the world and get the girl and receive the world's adulation, you're also somehow rich enough (even though you're above the idea of money) to have a sick secret headquarters that every kid dreams about. And though your hero headquarters are typically less extravagant than your villain's lair, they're still prime real estate. Here is a list showing you which hero had the best headquarters.
As the microbrew industry has become increasingly crowded, brewmasters are becoming more and more creative with their ingredients and techniques. The latest trend, Outside magazine says, is spiking batches with foraged ingredients, from sassafras to kudzu. Sound delicious?
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos took to 60 Minutes to reveal the company's latest delivery method: drones. In what is likely a cunning reminder of the e-tailer's upcoming Cyber Monday sales, these bots will apparently be capable of delivering packages up to five pounds (86 percent of orders are apparently under that), with the aim of getting them to your house in under half an hour. The system is called Prime Air and the octo-copter drones, which wait, ready to deliver, at the end of conveyor belts, have a range of 10 miles. As Amazon puts, "Putting Prime Air into commercial use will take some number of years as we advance the technology and wait for the necessary FAA rules and regulations" and Bezos himself added in the segment that it won't be before 2015 at the very earliest. While it sounds like they''ll take their time to get here (if they ever do), we've at least got a video of the drones in action -- it's right after the break.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if you never had to worry about germs crawling around on your kitchen countertop? Well, thanks to a new discovery by Australian scientists, that could soon be a reality. And it doesn't require a drop of disinfectant.
